Dropping some truth bombs here, I don't live a 100% organic and natural lifestyle. Gasp, I know! I mean the whole purpose of this blog is to bring awareness to organic and natural living but if I'm being honest, it's not always easy or affordable to live a 100% organic and natural lifestyle. I find it exhausting sometimes and I want this blog to not only be about healthy living
but real. It's not always feasible for my family. That being said, I do my best to make healthy choices for my family when and where I can and I post sales here so all of us can enjoy a dabble into the organic life without breaking the bank.
I just want you to know, it's okay not to be 100% perfect. It's okay if you feed your kid hot dogs (mine usually has 2 or 3 in a sitting, they aren't organic, given they are "free from"), our produce is mostly local and not organic (though most are from the clean 15) and she also has toys that are made in china, painted and made with lord knows what. I swore I was going to only bring healthy toys into this house, all wood, all safe plastics etc, but then my daughter grew and her interests have taken us down dollar store aisles in search of the rare season of Shopkins we don't have.
While it is important to limit my daughters exposure to chemicals that can cause harm to her, sometimes life happens. Here are some things to keep in mind:
Take a breath and realize that even though you didn't feed your kids organic meals all day and use only organic towels, clothes and body lotions and soaps, you and your family will be okay. Do what you can, where you can and know you are making a difference.
