In the ever changing world of technology, we have yet to know if there are substantial side effects from radiation. I'm personally the type of person who likes to err on the side of caution. That being said, I do believe the radiation we are exposed to these days can harm us and we haven't researched the effects long enough to have a valid conclusion since it is all so new.
It takes time to study the effects of radiation since it can be a slow growing problem. There needs to be extended periods of research to further prove the effects of radiation on infants and children, including pregnancy.
Pregnancy is a delicate time to protect a child when in utero. Not only in nutrition and exercise but radiation as well. I was not aware of Belly Armor while pregnant with my daughter. Going forward, when we do try again, I will be getting one of their blankets. I believe in the technology of it and the reason behind it and I do believe it can help protect an unborn child from any dangers radiation may pose. I know it's still a hot topic issue about whether or not there is any concern in regards to radiation, but even small studies have shown there are risks. After having gone through what I have in regards to pregnancy, I am not willing to take a risk and I think most people should consider the investment in Belly Armor products. To read more on the subject of radiation, visit Belly Armor's Radiation 101 page.
Belly Armor's products use RadiaShield® Technologies, which are "fabrics that are a highly conductive silver textile with similar shielding properties of a 1/4-inch thick sheet of aluminum". The benefits of RadiaShield® fabrics is that they are super light weight, machine washable, breathable, soft to touch, free of toxins and allergens and most importantly, they are highly effective.
In addition to blankets they also carry hats, belly bands, men's boxers, maternity tops, nursing covers and a baby monitor.
Give your baby the best chance at protection against radiation and invest in Belly Armor. It is not worth it to take a risk until further studies are completed. Exposure risks to radiation are known, even if on a small scale. This is probably one of the best things you can invest in seeing that you can always use it, as can your child when they grow.
